In the night of the World it was said: It shall be Light...
... And through
this primal seed of word and luminance the One granted order to all things. LuminaDivinae assigns the myth of this primordial Light,
the energy flow that livens up and vivifies nature, art and human existence.
The most ancient narratives represent this flow of Life as a matriarchal
heritage nurturing humanity with life, love, myth and knowledge. The ancient
books also speak of a light center inhabiting the geography of the human
body: Manipura, or the city of jewels. This mythic solar circle
will be compared by C. G. Jung to the alchemical cauldron where we integrate
the polarities of the human psyche.
Manipura is the metaphor picturing the initial
mark of fire, the middle point between free will and pure Conscience.
This brilliant center has the visual appearance of a blue flower of
ten petals, whose circular form we associate with the rotation of the
great cycles of the existence. Universal rites of gestation, birth,
maturation, death and transfiguration are personified by god Shiva and
Agni, the sacred Lamb of the sacrificial fire in the Old Scriptures.
Inside this mythical flower, ten letters of the Samskrit alphabet referring
to the signs of RA or RAM: this is the name of the third chackra located
on réhem - the uterus - or the matriarchal matrix of Being according to the kabbala. In all of the Mediterranean’s
basin, the surface elevations are also designated as navels of the earth,
just as the Pole Star is also called guide, lumina or navel
of the sky.Facing East, the Hindu masters execute the Suryanamaskar,
greeting the Sun at dawn. The Fire mark thus identifies the central
point between substance and spirituality, a link between micro and the
macrocosmos. The kabbalist Master assigns Tiféret as the middle
fruit in the Tree of Life, the spiritual sphere of Beauty as
wisdom of the Heart and Conscience. According to Jungian psychology,
the true lunar function of the psyche is the prefiguration of the Whole
through the integration of the parts; only the inner light will disclose
the darker areas of the unconscious and guide the Pilgrim along his
spiritual path. Recognized as the Way of the Middle, or the True Way,
we are wanderers in this process of individuation, trying to integrate
singular and collective elements along the journey of existence.
The biblical Canticle describes same Manipura
as a mythic chalice in the shape of a half moon, where the
new light of Anahata - the immutable heart – spreads
its roots. The archetype of the Heart chakra is the expression of the
identity of humankind according to hinduism. To the mythical imagination,
it symbolizes the vital unity of creation. The same happens with the
myth of the golden apples that Gaia - or Mother
Earth behind the Oracle at Delfi - offered to Zeus
and Hera during their union in the Garden of the Hespérides.
Like the red lotus, the heart of fire is the fruit reached
by the Pilgrim along his path to compassionate knowledge of the Self
and the Cosmos. Finally, the mystery of art is contained in the invisible
and inextinguishable
fire. The philosophers call it the flame of the Holy Spirit...
Where there is no Fire, Light does not exist (C.G.Jung).
Lumina is an old latin expression for inspiration, sharing of the Light.
Divinae refers to what is divine, the wisdom of the Sacred Feminine but also to everything that's
mythic and natural. LuminaDivinae shares my love for universal
culture, myth and creativity, praising what's sacred and natural within all of us. It's an
open window upon different works always made for the love of art and communication. Each one corresponds
to unique professional and personal moments. They are Memories of Light
enduring in Time.
